My Story

Hello There,

Thank you for visiting my website. My name is Shayda, pronounced “Shay-Dah”. My name has Persian roots, meaning “a deep love that can only be expressed through actions rather than words.”  I aspire to reflect the meaning of my name into my life each day. I believe in the power of good energy, spreading love wherever I go & helping others realize how life is, truly, what you make it.

I enjoy sharing the things I love with others! A few of those things are self-care, wellness, mindfulness and mental health.  On Love Shayda you’ll find posts on everything from “How to Create a Vision Board”  to “10 Reasons to Give Therapy a Try“.  I’m always after the next feel-good product, looking for ways to heal and love our bodies.  I love to research about mind-body medicine & practices and how to apply these ideas to our self-care rituals. Love Shayda is the platform I use to share my creativity, raise mental health awareness and talk about topics related to all things wellness, self care, mindful-living and therapy.  I strive to always be authentic, spread positivity, and share products or services I truly recommend through my experiences and research with all my readers!

I believe every individual was born with a purpose, and that with motivation, support, healing guidance, and positive nourishment individuals can thrive. This desire to help others is what drives me to achieve my own personal & professional goals, so that I may be at service to others. I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor & Psychotherapist at TRU Integrative Health and Wellness, located in Atlanta.  I earned my dual Master’s of Science Degree specializing in Marriage, Couples & Family Therapy and Mental Health Counseling at Barry University and a Bachelor’s of Science in Psychology from University of Georgia.  Currently I am working toward my Ph.D in Mind Body Medicine with certifications in Hypnosis and Wellness Coaching at Saybrook University.  As a strength-oriented, solution-focused counselor, I am committed to creating a space for openness and acceptance while providing exceptional counsel to every client. When I am not in session or researching for my doctoral studies, I am a creative. I make jewelry, I paint, and I love to do DIYs. I live to zen out in my weekly yoga classes, read, journal, work on my blog and spend time with my loving husband and our two mutts. I’m a true believer in loving what you do, and doing what you love.
