Turmeric. Ginger. Lemon. Apple Cider Vinegar. Water. Ice. Drop of Stevia. Stir. Repeat everyday.

After hearing so much about the benefits of turmeric and ginger I decided to do a little research of my own! Turmeric is very strong antioxidant and has been used as a traditional Ayurvedic medicine throughout history. What is “Ayurvedic”, you ask? Ayurvedic medicine is one of the world oldest holistic whole body healing systems, developed in India and based on the belief that health & wellness depends on a balance between the mind, body, and spirit. Anyways– Turmeric is considered a herb that cleanses the whole body, especially the liver.  The active ingredient in turmeric is called curcumin and has been proved to have similar affects as many anti-inflammatory meds, but it’s all natural! It’s also used to support digestion, fevers, and infections. Ginger is a root and amazing in so many ways! It has antibiotic effects and can help you with digestion, detoxification infections, inflammation, joint pain, nausea (even morning sickness), and motion sickness. Research has even shown that ginger helps to treat and prevent some cancers. I was completely sold after doing my own research! So I looked into how to incorporate these superfoods into my daily diet.  I found out that mixing them with water, lemon and apple cider vinegar makes for a great combo.  Lemon of course has many benefits including that it is rich in vitamin A & C, flushes the body of toxins and helps with clearing skin, weightless, energy levels and boosting the immune system. Apple cider vinegar promotes good gut bacteria, balances blood sugar, lowers blood pressure, fights allergies, and aids with weight loss! So if this doesn’t convince you I don’t know what will! I feel a burst of energy in the mornings after drinking this mixture I like to call the ‘Life Drank’….  Mixed all together, it’s a strong flavor but it’s refreshing and will do the body real good!

Life Drank [ Makes 1 cup]

  • 1 cup of ice water (not filled up all the way)
  • 1 Drop of Turmeric
  • 1 Drop of Ginger
  • 1 lemon squeezed
  • 1 drop of stevia for taste
  • 1 table spoon apple cider vinegar

Stir all together and drank! 🙂

    My bf and I drink a simple cup of this every night after dinner: a MASSIVE spoonful of raw (unfiltered) honey, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar and then we fill the mug the rest of the way with hot water. Such a surprisingly delicious treat!! Yours however has way more health benefits!! We will have to try your version asap!!! Thanks, Shayda <3

    I’m a fan of doing these type of drinks. Can’t wait to try out the turmeric DROPS. I have the spice and it was causing my teeth to turn yellow when I added it to foods.
